LALA Lounge Chair by Nika Zupanc

The basic lines of the Lala chair came from those of a simple wooden school chair. However, by choosing the metal frame and seat/backrests finished with upholstery, Lala chair is revitalized to something more than just a school chair. The overall shape of the chair and the bold and sleek texture of the plated frame were inspired by the seal ring that the designer, Nika Zupanc, had put on her finger during her years of teenage as a symbol of rebellion. Nika expressed mete’s pursuit of ‘balanced androgynous beauty’ by the ring.

The seal ring, symbolizing the military officer’s authority and honor, has thick body and a big round Onyx stone. Just like the gem of the ring, the seat and the backrests upholstered with subdued sheeny fabric are located in the metal frame. You can feel the understated elegance by the simple big curves of the structure.

The two types of finishings give you very different charms. The plated type looks like an eye-catching art object, and the high gloss powder coating type can make your place more special by adding a decorative chic mood.

There are 2 types of Lala chair available; Gold or chrome color plated frame with black, red, pale pink, green, and turquoise blue upholstery from Tabularasa series of Dedar. High gloss Black and white frames with Kvadrat Basel.
